Penetration Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their growing security team, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere, with occasional requirements to visit their offices in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for simulating cyber-attacks to identify vulnerabilities in the organization's systems, applications, and networks. Your findings will be critical in helping to strengthen the company's defenses and protect against real-world threats. This role requires a creative mindset, technical expertise, and a commitment to ethical hacking principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive penetration tests against web applications, network infrastructure, and cloud environments.
• Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Perform social engineering assessments and phishing campaigns.
• Document findings, risks, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest attack vectors, tools, and exploitation techniques.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.

Requirements

• Proven experience in performing penetration testing engagements.
• Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and exploitation methods.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web application security.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or CREST are highly valued.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills to clearly articulate technical findings.
