About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their growing security team, with the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere, with occasional requirements to visit their offices in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for simulating cyber-attacks to identify vulnerabilities in the organization's systems, applications, and networks. Your findings will be critical in helping to strengthen the company's defenses and protect against real-world threats. This role requires a creative mindset, technical expertise, and a commitment to ethical hacking principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests against web applications, network infrastructure, and cloud environments.
- Identify and exploit security vulnerabilities using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Perform social engineering assessments and phishing campaigns.
- Document findings, risks, and provide actionable recommendations for remediation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest attack vectors, tools, and exploitation techniques.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in performing penetration testing engagements.
- Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and exploitation methods.
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
- Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web application security.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or CREST are highly valued.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills to clearly articulate technical findings.
