About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their security team in Glasgow . In this role, you will proactively identify vulnerabilities in client systems and networks through rigorous testing methodologies. Your work will be critical in helping organizations strengthen their defenses before malicious actors can exploit weaknesses. This is an on-site position, allowing for close collaboration with internal teams and direct client interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, networks, and mobile applications.
- Identify and document security vulnerabilities, providing detailed explanations and evidence.
- Develop clear and concise reports outlining findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
- Perform social engineering tests to assess human vulnerability.
- Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques and testing tools.
- Collaborate with development and system administration teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience conducting penetration testing engagements.
- Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
- Understanding of common web application vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and network protocols.
- Ethical hacking mindset and a strong commitment to responsible disclosure.
- Relevant certifications like OSCP, CEH, or CompTIA PenTest+ are highly desirable.
