About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to join their expanding security team in Belfast . In this exciting role, you will conduct rigorous security assessments of our client's networks, applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, APIs, mobile applications, and network infrastructure.
• Utilize a variety of tools and techniques to simulate real-world attacks and identify security flaws.
• Document findings clearly and concisely in detailed technical reports, including remediation recommendations.
• Communicate test results effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques, threat intelligence, and security vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and improvement of penetration testing methodologies and tooling.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience (3+ years) as a penetration tester or in a similar offensive security role.
• Strong understanding of common web vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and network exploitation techniques.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Experience in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Bash) is beneficial.
• Relevant certifications like OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are a strong advantage.
