About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and ethical Penetration Tester to proactively identify and exploit vulnerabilities in their systems and applications. This fully remote role is essential for uncovering security weaknesses before malicious actors can, thereby strengthening the organization's defense mechanisms. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on simulated cyberattacks, providing actionable insights to improve security resilience. The ideal candidate is a meticulous tester with a deep understanding of offensive security techniques and a passion for ethical hacking.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute penetration tests against web applications, networks, and systems.
- Identify and document vulnerabilities, assessing their potential impact and severity.
- Utilize a variety of penetration testing tools and methodologies.
- Develop detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with security and development teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.
- Stay current with the latest exploitation techniques, tools, and threat landscapes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Penetration Tester or ethical hacker.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems, and web application architecture.
- Proficiency with common penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security automation.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate technical findings.
