About East Riding Pension Fund
East Riding Pension Fund, based in Goole, is responsible for administering the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) on behalf of more than 340 employers and supporting over 130,000 members. Our administration team, of 75 dedicated professionals, is committed to delivering an outstanding pensions administration service to members, employers and other stakeholders and are constantly striving to improve and innovate our service delivery.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Pensions Officer to join our Technical & Training Team .
Reporting to the Senior Pensions Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a high-quality, compliant, and efficient pension administration service. This is a varied and rewarding position that combines technical pensions expertise with training, quality assurance, and continuous improvement activities.
In this role, you will:
- Interpret and apply LGPS regulations and relevant pension legislation.
- Support compliance with statutory requirements, internal policies and GDPR.
- Design and deliver induction and ongoing training for colleagues.
- Review, assess, and help implement system and software updates.
- Test and validate pension benefit calculations to ensure accuracy.
- Monitor and improve data quality and administrative processes.
- Develop, maintain, and update policies, procedures and guidance documents.
- Produce KPI, performance, management information and regulatory reporting.
- Provide technical support for process improvements and system developments.
- Respond professionally to enquiries from colleagues, employers and stakeholders.
- Update and maintain content for the ERPF website.
- Contribute to service improvements and other duties appropriate to the role.
