The Role

As a Permanent Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help pupils get the most from their education.

You will provide individual and small-group support, assist with classroom activities and help create a positive, safe and engaging learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis

Helping children engage with classroom learning and activities

*

Supporting pupils with their communication, social and independence skills

*

Providing encouragement, reassurance and emotional support

*

Promoting positive behaviour and a calm learning environment

*

Working closely with teachers and other support staff

*

Helping pupils build confidence and develop their potential

*

Adapting your approach to meet the individual needs of pupils

*

Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom

About You

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Youth Worker, Nursery Practitioner, Childcare Assistant or within an education or care setting would be beneficial.

Don't have direct school experience? That's not necessarily a problem. We welcome applications from candidates with transferable experience who have the right attitude, patience and passion for supporting children.
