Personal Assistant To Managing Director
Location: Bromley, Kent Salary: £37,000–£40,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Working Pattern: Office-based, with the possibility of one day per week working from home following successful completion of probation Sector: Property / Construction
We are recruiting an experienced and highly organised Personal Assistant to the Managing Director of a rapidly expanding property and construction business based in Bromley, operating across London and the South East.
This is a varied and responsible position supporting the Managing Director with the day-to-day running of a fast-moving business. The successful candidate will be highly organised, proactive and confident managing priorities, coordinating meetings and communications, and taking ownership of tasks with minimal supervision.
We are open to candidates from either a Personal Assistant or strong office administration background. Previous experience within property or construction is not essential; the key requirement is the ability to work effectively in a busy environment, use initiative and take responsibility when decisions need to be made.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative and organisational support to the Managing Director.
- Manage diaries, appointments, meetings and changing priorities.
- Organise meetings and ensure actions are recorded and followed up.
- Manage emails, correspondence and communications where appropriate.
- Act as a key point of contact for internal teams, clients, suppliers and other external contacts.
- Prioritise incoming requests and ensure important matters are dealt with promptly.
- Coordinate appointments, site visits, business commitments and travel where required.
- Prepare documents, reports, correspondence and meeting notes.
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems and business information.
- Track deadlines, actions and commitments and follow up where necessary.
- Support with confidential and sensitive business matters with discretion.
- Identify issues requiring attention and resolve or escalate them appropriately.
- Take ownership of administrative tasks and projects to support the Managing Director.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, Office Administrator or similar role.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy working environment.
- Confident taking responsibility and making sensible decisions when required.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and discreet when handling confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable communicating with senior management, clients, suppliers and contractors.
- Experience within property, construction or a related sector would be beneficial, but is not essential.
