About the Role
Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Pharmaceutical Formulation Scientist to join their expanding research and development department. This fully remote position allows you to contribute to the advancement of novel drug delivery systems and dosage forms from your home base, ideally within reach of Brighton . You will be responsible for designing, developing, and characterizing new pharmaceutical formulations, ensuring optimal efficacy, stability, and patient compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop novel oral, injectable, or topical pharmaceutical formulations.
- Conduct pre-formulation studies, including solubility, stability, and compatibility assessments.
- Characterize formulated products using techniques such as particle size analysis, dissolution testing, and microscopy.
- Develop and validate analytical methods for formulation analysis.
- Collaborate with other scientific disciplines to integrate formulation strategies with drug discovery and development goals.
- Prepare comprehensive formulation development reports and contribute to regulatory submission documents.
Requirements
- PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
- Expertise in various dosage forms (e.g., tablets, capsules, injectables, topicals).
- Proficiency with common formulation equipment and analytical testing methods.
- Strong understanding of drug delivery principles, material science, and biopharmaceutics.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
