About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and analytical Pharmaceutical Process Development Engineer to join their manufacturing and engineering team in Derby . This role is essential for optimizing and scaling up manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. You will be involved in troubleshooting existing processes, designing new process steps, and implementing process improvements using sound engineering principles and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing. This is a hands-on position for an individual passionate about process innovation and optimization within the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry, contributing directly to the reliable production of medicines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and scale up manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Conduct process validation activities and prepare associated documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance yield, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless technology transfer and process implementation in Derby .
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with process validation, scale-up, and technology transfer.
- Proficiency in process modeling, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
