About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing and operations team in Plymouth . This role is vital for optimizing and troubleshooting manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety in the production of pharmaceutical products. You will be involved in process design, validation, scale-up, and continuous improvement initiatives, working closely with production, quality assurance, and R&D departments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Perform process validation activities, including IQ, OQ, and PQ, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, yield, and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, QA, Production) on new product introductions and process changes.
- Ensure all process engineering activities comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or related regulated industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP, validation principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CAD, simulation software).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
