About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to join their manufacturing and operations team in Reading . This role is critical in optimizing and scaling up pharmaceutical manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality production. You will work on designing, implementing, and validating new processes and equipment, as well as troubleshooting and improving existing operations. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and scale up pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Implement and validate new process equipment and technologies, working closely with equipment vendors and internal engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to improve process performance.
- Develop and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes and equipment operation.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Production, and R&D departments to ensure smooth process transfer and successful product lifecycle management.
- Monitor process performance, collect data, and generate reports to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Strong understanding of GMP regulations and their application to pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Experience with process validation, equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ), and technology transfer.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
