Pharmaceutical Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Pharmaceutical Process Engineer to optimize and manage manufacturing processes at their facility in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire . This role is critical for ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant production of pharmaceutical products. You will work closely with production teams, quality assurance, and R&D to implement improvements, troubleshoot issues, and drive operational excellence. This is a hands-on position within a key manufacturing hub, offering the chance to make a tangible impact on product quality and output.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize chemical and manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products.
• Develop and validate new processing equipment and technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure all processes comply with GMP, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Prepare process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and validation reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Strong understanding of GMP principles and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
• Experience with process simulation and modeling software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
