About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of critical R&D and commercial projects from their Wolverhampton base. This role demands strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical product lifecycle. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget, while coordinating the efforts of internal resources and third-party contractors or consultants. This hybrid role requires a balance of on-site collaboration and remote management capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage project execution, track progress, and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Facilitate communication among project team members, stakeholders, and management regarding project status, risks, and issues.
- Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
- Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or business field; a Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
- Proven success in managing complex projects from initiation through closure.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical R&D, manufacturing, and regulatory processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
