Pharmaceutical Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Pharmaceutical Project Manager to lead key initiatives within their drug development lifecycle in Glasgow . This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams from project initiation through to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring complex projects, managing resources, and mitigating risks. This hybrid position offers the opportunity to influence project direction and drive innovation in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Manage project execution, tracking progress, identifying and resolving issues, and ensuring adherence to milestones.
• Coordinate activities and facilitate communication among cross-functional project team members (e.g., R&D, manufacturing, clinical, regulatory).
• Conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and manage project risks proactively.
• Prepare and present project status reports, updates, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant pharmaceutical industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant scientific or business field; PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex pharmaceutical projects, ideally from early development to market.
• Strong understanding of the drug development process and relevant regulatory landscapes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with project management software and methodologies.
