Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their established laboratory team in Belfast . This role is crucial for ensuring the consistent quality and safety of pharmaceutical products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will perform a variety of analytical tests on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, working in strict accordance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing on pharmaceutical samples using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and FTIR.
• Accurately document all testing procedures, results, and observations in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and internal SOPs.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to maintenance schedules.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) or out-of-trend (OOT) results and participate in root cause analysis investigations.
• Prepare reagents, solutions, and standards required for analytical testing.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.

Requirements

• BSc or equivalent in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical quality control or analytical laboratory setting.
• Hands-on experience with common analytical instrumentation and techniques.
• Understanding of GLP and GMP principles within a pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and reporting.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
