Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their team in Portsmouth . In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet stringent quality and regulatory standards. Your work will directly contribute to the safety and efficacy of the medicines produced by the company. Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, KF).
• Prepare reagents, samples, and equipment for testing procedures.
• Accurately document all testing activities, results, and deviations in accordance with SOPs and GMP.
• Review and verify analytical data generated by self and colleagues.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities as required.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related scientific discipline.
• Previous experience (1-2 years) in a Quality Control laboratory, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry .
• Proficiency in common analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, and spectrophotometry.
• Familiarity with GMP guidelines and laboratory documentation practices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
• Good laboratory practice (GLP) and good manufacturing practice (GMP) knowledge.
