Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is looking for a motivated Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their analytical laboratory team in the renowned scientific hub of Cambridge . In this role, you will perform a range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products to ensure they meet stringent quality specifications and regulatory standards. You will be an essential part of the quality assurance process, contributing directly to the safety and efficacy of the medicines produced. Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy).
• Prepare reagents and samples for analysis according to established SOPs and test methods.
• Accurately document all test results, observations, and calculations in laboratory notebooks and data systems.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to calibration schedules.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities as required.
• Review and interpret analytical data, reporting any deviations or out-of-specification results to supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Some experience (1+ year) in a Quality Control laboratory , preferably within the pharmaceutical or related industry.
• Familiarity with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and dissolution apparatus.
• Understanding of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) principles.
• Strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to follow procedures meticulously.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute within a laboratory setting in Cambridge .
