About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their laboratory team in Stoke-on-Trent . This essential role ensures the quality and consistency of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished pharmaceutical products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will be responsible for performing a variety of analytical tests using sophisticated laboratory equipment, contributing to the high standards of quality and compliance our client upholds. This is a hands-on position perfect for an individual passionate about maintaining product integrity within the pharmaceutical sector in Staffordshire .
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy).
- Document all testing procedures, results, and deviations accurately in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning and accuracy.
- Prepare reagents and solutions required for analytical testing.
- Review and interpret test results, identifying any out-of-specification (OOS) results and participating in investigations.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and relevant quality control procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience in a pharmaceutical quality control laboratory setting.
- Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and dissolution apparatus.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP).
- Strong understanding of analytical principles and methods.
- Excellent laboratory practices, record-keeping skills, and attention to detail.
