Pharmacovigilance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their safety surveillance team in Wolverhampton . This vital role involves monitoring the safety of pharmaceutical products post-market, collecting and assessing adverse event reports, and ensuring compliance with global regulatory requirements for drug safety. You will be instrumental in safeguarding public health by identifying, evaluating, and preventing adverse drug reactions. This position offers a chance to work in a critical area of pharmaceutical safety, contributing directly to patient well-being and regulatory adherence.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of safety data into the pharmacovigilance database.
• Conduct literature reviews to identify potential safety signals.
• Prepare safety reports (e.g., PBRERs, DSURs) in accordance with regulatory timelines.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders on safety-related matters.
• Stay updated on pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines in relevant markets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
• Previous experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or a related regulatory role.
• Knowledge of pharmacovigilance principles, adverse event reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with safety databases and reporting systems.
• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
