Pharmacovigilance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and conscientious Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their dedicated safety team based in Glasgow . This vital role focuses on ensuring the ongoing safety of patients by monitoring, collecting, and assessing adverse event reports for the company's pharmaceutical products. You will work closely with medical and regulatory teams to maintain high standards of pharmacovigilance compliance. This is an office-based position, offering the opportunity for close collaboration with colleagues and hands-on involvement in critical safety processes within a prominent pharmaceutical company.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and assess adverse event reports from various sources, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Enter safety data into the pharmacovigilance database in a timely manner, adhering to regulatory timelines.
• Perform literature searches for potential safety signals and contribute to signal detection activities.
• Support the preparation of aggregate safety reports, such as PADERs and DSURs.
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Medical, Regulatory) and external stakeholders regarding safety reporting.
• Ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

• Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
• At least 2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Familiarity with global regulatory requirements for pharmacovigilance (e.g., GVP modules).
• Proficiency in using safety databases and adverse event reporting systems.
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail in data handling and reporting.
