About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their dedicated safety team in Cardiff, Wales . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the collection, assessment, and reporting of adverse events related to our client's pharmaceutical products. Your work directly contributes to ensuring patient safety and maintaining regulatory compliance across all markets. This is an office-based position within a supportive and collaborative environment, where you will work closely with regulatory affairs, medical affairs, and quality assurance departments to uphold the highest standards of drug safety monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, assess, and process adverse event reports from various sources, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
- Conduct in-depth case reviews and determine regulatory reporting requirements based on global guidelines.
- Prepare and submit regulatory safety reports to health authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of pharmacovigilance procedures and quality systems.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, patients, and internal departments to gather further information on reported events.
Requirements
- Degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Previous experience (minimum 2 years) in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
- Strong understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting guidelines (e.g., GVP, FDA).
- Proficiency in using safety databases and adverse event reporting software.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work meticulously under pressure.
