Pharmacovigilance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and proactive Pharmacovigilance Officer to strengthen their safety monitoring team in Belfast . This critical role ensures the ongoing safety and efficacy of pharmaceutical products by collecting, assessing, and reporting adverse event data. You will work closely with medical and regulatory affairs teams to maintain compliance with global safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety information to regulatory authorities and stakeholders.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of safety databases and procedures.
• Contribute to the preparation of aggregate safety reports, such as Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs).
• Liaise with healthcare professionals, internal departments, and external partners on safety matters.
• Support regulatory inspections and audits related to pharmacovigilance activities.

Requirements

• Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, or other relevant healthcare science.
• At least 2 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Comprehensive knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines (e.g., GVP).
• Experience with safety databases (e.g., Argus, ARISg) and case processing.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to critically assess safety data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for reporting and collaboration in Belfast .
