Pharmacovigilance Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a vigilant and conscientious Pharmacovigilance Officer to join their safety monitoring team in Brighton . This role is integral to ensuring the ongoing safety of pharmaceutical products by managing adverse event reporting, signal detection, and risk management activities. You will work closely with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders to maintain compliance and protect public health. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of drug safety within a reputable pharmaceutical organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and assess adverse event reports from various sources, ensuring timely reporting to regulatory authorities.
• Contribute to the preparation of periodic safety update reports (PSURs) and other regulatory safety documents.
• Participate in signal detection activities, identifying potential safety issues and contributing to risk assessment and management plans.
• Ensure compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Medical, Regulatory, Clinical) and external partners on safety-related matters.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of pharmacovigilance documentation and databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
• Knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., GVP modules).
• Experience with safety databases and adverse event reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with a high degree of accuracy in documentation.
