About the Role
Our client is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join their safety surveillance team in Norwich . This vital role involves monitoring the safety profiles of pharmaceutical products, collecting and evaluating adverse event reports, and ensuring compliance with global pharmacovigilance regulations. You will contribute to safeguarding public health by ensuring the safe use of medicines and timely communication of safety information. This position requires a strong understanding of regulatory requirements for drug safety and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and assess adverse event reports from various sources (e.g., healthcare professionals, patients, literature).
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the safety database and compliance with regulatory reporting timelines.
- Prepare periodic safety update reports (PSURs) and other regulatory safety documents.
- Liaise with internal departments (e.g., Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs) and external partners on safety-related matters.
- Stay updated on global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines, ensuring company compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Pharmacovigilance or drug safety.
- Thorough understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., GVP modules).
- Experience with safety databases (e.g., Argus, ArisG) and adverse event processing.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail in report evaluation and data entry.
