Pharmacovigilance Specialist

About the Role

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical innovator, is seeking an experienced Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join their safety surveillance team based in Coventry . This critical role involves monitoring and assessing the safety of medicinal products post-marketing, ensuring patient safety remains paramount. You will play a key part in collecting, assessing, and reporting adverse event data to regulatory authorities worldwide. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and evaluate individual case safety reports (ICSs) for assigned products.
• Perform signal detection and analysis to identify potential safety concerns from aggregate data.
• Prepare and submit regulatory safety reports, such as Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs).
• Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs) and external partners on safety matters.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of safety databases and SOPs.
• Participate in pharmacovigilance risk management activities and the development of risk management plans (RMPs).

Requirements

• Degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, or a related life science discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance or drug safety within the pharmaceutical industry.
• In-depth knowledge of global pharmacovigilance regulations and reporting requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
• Experience with safety databases (e.g., Argus Safety, ArisG) and adverse event reporting systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a remote setting .
