Pharmacovigilance Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Pharmacovigilance Specialist to join their safety surveillance team in Edinburgh . This role is critical for monitoring the safety profiles of our client's pharmaceutical products post-marketing. You will be responsible for collecting, assessing, and reporting adverse event data in compliance with global regulatory requirements. Your expertise will ensure patient safety and uphold the integrity of the company's drug safety commitment. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, process, and evaluate adverse event reports from various sources.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of safety data to regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct initial case assessments and determine seriousness and expectedness of adverse events.
• Maintain and update the pharmacovigilance database with all relevant safety information.
• Participate in the development and review of safety-related documents, such as Periodic Safety Update Reports (PSURs).
• Collaborate with clinical teams, medical affairs, and other departments on safety-related matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or life science discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, Nursing, Biology).
• 1-3 years of experience in pharmacovigilance, drug safety, or a related field.
• Understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines (e.g., GVP modules).
• Proficiency in using safety databases and adverse event reporting systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
