Are you a Physics graduate looking to gain valuable teaching experience in a high-achieving secondary school? An exciting opportunity is available for a Physics Graduate to join a successful school in North London, teaching Physics to students up to A Level.
This role would suit a strong Physics graduate who is considering a career in teaching and would like to develop their classroom experience before progressing into teacher training or a PGCE.
The Role
As a Physics Graduate Teacher, you will teach Physics across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, working with students through to A Level. You will be supported by an experienced Science department while developing your own teaching practice.
The role will involve:
- Teaching Physics up to A Level
- Planning and delivering engaging Physics lessons
- Supporting students to develop strong subject knowledge
- Preparing students for GCSE and A Level examinations
- Differentiating lessons to meet the needs of individual students
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting practical Physics work and experiments
- Working closely with colleagues within the Science department
- Creating a positive and engaging learning environment
The Ideal Physics Graduate
The school is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Physics graduate with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for the subject.
You will ideally have:
- A degree in Physics or a closely related subject
- Strong subject knowledge up to A Level
- Excellent communication skills
- The confidence to teach and engage secondary school students
- A genuine interest in developing a career in teaching
- Previous tutoring, teaching or mentoring experience would be advantageous
- A professional, enthusiastic and committed approach
