About the Role
Our client is looking for a proficient Pipeline Engineer to join their engineering department in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire . This role is responsible for the design, analysis, construction, and maintenance of oil and gas pipeline systems. You will ensure pipelines are designed and operated safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of fluid mechanics, materials science, and pipeline integrity management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyze pipeline routes, materials, and systems for onshore and offshore applications.
- Conduct stress analysis, route selection, and crossing assessments for pipeline projects.
- Prepare engineering specifications, drawings, and supporting documentation for pipeline construction.
- Oversee pipeline construction, inspection, and commissioning activities.
- Develop and implement pipeline integrity management programs, including risk assessment and monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with national and international pipeline design codes and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in pipeline engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Strong knowledge of pipeline design codes (e.g., ASME B31.4, B31.8, DNVGL-ST-F101).
- Proficiency with pipeline design and analysis software.
- Experience with pipeline integrity management, including corrosion control and inspection techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with a focus on operations in the Nottingham area.
