About the Role
Our client, a key player in the Oil & Gas sector, is looking for a dedicated Pipeline Integrity Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK . This role is crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and longevity of the company's extensive pipeline network. You will be responsible for developing and implementing integrity management programs, assessing risks, and recommending maintenance and repair strategies to prevent failures and ensure regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive pipeline integrity management plans in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments, including corrosion, mechanical damage, and third-party interference threats.
- Analyze inspection data (e.g., inline inspection, NDT) and recommend appropriate repair or remediation actions.
- Oversee pipeline maintenance activities and contractor performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant national and international pipeline safety regulations.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to address integrity concerns and implement improvements.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline engineering, integrity management, or a related field within the Oil & Gas industry .
- Strong knowledge of corrosion mechanisms , materials science, and relevant NDT methods.
- Experience with pipeline integrity software and risk-based inspection (RBI) methodologies.
- Familiarity with codes and standards such as ASME B31.4, B31.8, and API 1160.
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
