Planner / SchedulerLocation: Motherwell Hours: 40 hours per week Contract: Long-term temporary, with potential to go permanent

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Planner / Scheduler to join a well-established and high-performing social housing maintenance contractor based in Motherwell.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy team supporting the delivery of essential repairs and maintenance services across social housing properties. The role would suit someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organised, and enjoys keeping operations running smoothly.

The RoleAs a Planner / Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating engineers and operatives, ensuring repairs and maintenance jobs are scheduled efficiently and completed within the required timescales.

Your responsibilities will include:

Scheduling and coordinating daily workloads for engineers and operatives

Managing appointments and ensuring jobs are allocated efficiently

Liaising with tenants, operatives, supervisors and other internal teams

Monitoring outstanding and completed works

Rescheduling appointments where required

Updating systems with accurate job and appointment information

Prioritising urgent and reactive repairs

Ensuring works are delivered within agreed timescales and service standards

Dealing with queries and resolving scheduling issues promptly

About YouWe are looking for someone with previous experience in a planning, scheduling, coordination or administration role, ideally within social housing, repairs, maintenance, construction or a similar environment.

You will ideally have:

Previous experience in a Planner / Scheduler role

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Strong communication and customer service skills

The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment

Good IT and systems experience

Excellent attention to detail

The ability to prioritise and manage competing workloads

A proactive approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience within social housing maintenance or repairs would be highly advantageous, but is not essential for the right candidate.
