Planning Manager - Water
Location: London (Flexible Hybrid)
We are seeking an experienced Planning Manager to join a leading international provider of water and wastewater treatment solutions, specialising in innovative technologies and the delivery of complex infrastructure projects. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and execution of project activities across multiple sites and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safe working practices through the implementation and execution of robust planning processes.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments for all planned activities and establish effective mitigation measures to minimise potential disruptions.
- Maintain a dependable and structured planning process that supports a strong “Right First Time” culture.
- Ensure all personnel, materials, equipment, and documentation required on site are delivered as planned and meet expected quality standards.
- Coordinate project delivery programmes with clients, suppliers, and Project Engineers/Managers for assigned projects.
- Proactively communicate with all stakeholders involved in project schedules, ensuring clarity around roles, responsibilities, and project requirements.
- Monitor and manage planning activities to ensure projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and expectations.
- Identify, adopt, and implement best practices to support continuous improvement and enhance overall planning performance.
Experience
- Proven experience in successfully managing complex resource planning activities.
- Strong knowledge of planning and scheduling software, such as Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6, with particular expertise in resource scheduling.
- Demonstrated success in improving business performance through effective resource planning and coordination.
- A collaborative mindset with an appreciation for being a valued member of a supportive and high-performing team.
