Plant Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Plant Manager to lead their manufacturing operations in Bristol . This senior leadership role is responsible for the overall performance of the plant, including production output, quality, safety, efficiency, and financial management. You will drive operational excellence, implement strategic initiatives, and foster a high-performance culture among all plant personnel. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in plant management, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and a proven ability to lead teams and achieve ambitious business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, safety, and logistics.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve production targets, optimize costs, and enhance overall plant efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations .
• Manage the plant budget, control operational expenditures, and drive profitability.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of department managers and supervisors to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with corporate leadership on strategic planning, capital investments, and operational performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing management, with at least 5 years in a Plant Manager role.
• Proven track record of success in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and other operational excellence methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
• Experience managing budgets and P&L responsibilities for a manufacturing facility.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
