About the Role
Our client requires a dedicated and skilled Plant Operations Manager to oversee all manufacturing and production activities at their facility in Bradford . This role is critical for ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality production output, managing resources, and leading a team of production staff. You will be responsible for optimizing plant performance, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets and maintain operational excellence. This position requires hands-on leadership and a deep understanding of manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of daily plant operations, including production, maintenance, and logistics.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the plant.
- Lead and motivate the plant operations team, fostering a culture of safety and productivity.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production costs and implement strategies for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Plant Operations Manager or in a similar manufacturing leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply chain management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a large workforce.
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in health and safety regulations relevant to manufacturing environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
