Salary: £14.50 to £18.85 per hour

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 6am to 3.30pm

Plant Operator - The Role:

As a Plant Operator, you will work under the supervision of our Yard Manager, operating mobile plant including 16-tonne forklifts, side loaders and shunter vehicles. You will handle and load sectional steel products safely and efficiently, ensuring all jobs meet required deadlines while maintaining strict Health and Safety procedures at all times. You will receive full training in all aspects of steel product handling.

Plant Operator - Key Responsibilities:

• Operate 16-tonne forklifts, side loaders and shunter vehicles safely and efficiently

• Handle and load sectional steel products according to specifications and deadlines

• Follow all Health and Safety procedures without exception

• Report to the Yard Manager and communicate effectively with the team

• Undertake paid overtime on Saturdays when required

Plant Operator - You:

• Possess good product knowledge of steel sections or a strong willingness to learn

• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills

• Show a strong work ethic, punctuality and enthusiasm for the role

• Thrive under pressure and prioritise safety throughout the workday

• Are flexible and adaptable to changing business needs and deadlines
