Job Description
Job Title: Experienced Fabricator / Plater
Location: Chesterfield
Salary: £15.50 to £16.50 per hour (plus overtime)
Contract: Temp-to-Perm
We are currently recruiting an experienced Fabricator / Plater on behalf of a family-run engineering business based in Chesterfield. The workshop handles a highly varied workload, meaning the day-to-day work is engaging and avoids repetitive jig work.
You will be joining a small, close-knit team where staff work well together and support each other on the shop floor.
Key Requirements
* Proven experience as a Plater or Fabricator.
* Competence in standard fabrication processes, specifically bending, shearing, drilling, and rolling.
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* A reliable work ethic and a collaborative approach to workshop duties.
Working Hours and Remuneration
* 4-day working week: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 to 16:30.
* Starting pay of £15.50 to £16.50 per hour, dependent on experience.
* Overtime is available and paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
* Potential for a pay increase following the completion of a probationary period.
* 12 week Temp-to-perm contract structure.
* Additional benefits include an annual Christmas bonus alongside free tea and coffee provided in the workshop
