We are seeking an experienced Plater / Plater Welder to join our fabrication workshop in.[Location]
Duties:Reading and interpreting engineering / fabrication drawings
Marking out, cutting (oxy/propane & plasma), forming and fabricating structural steel and platework
Tack welding fabrications to ensure square / level / plumb using dogs & wedges, clampsFull assembly of heavy & light fabrications
MIG/MMA welding to a good standard (coded advantageous but not essential)Using overhead crane, magnet drills, grinders
Working to tight tolerances and QA standardsRequirements:Time-served / NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication / Plating or equivalent experience
Able to read engineering drawings confidentlyExperienced in platework / structural steel
Plater/Welder must be competent in MIG (135) / MMA (111)CSCS / CCNSG advantageous
