PLATING SUPERVISOR WANTED!

Ready to take the lead? Morson are looking for experienced Plating Supervisors for our client in Belfast.

This is a fantastic opportunity to put your fabrication and plating experience to work in a major shipbuilding, repair and heavy engineering environment.

Location: Belfast
Contract: 6-month rolling contract
Extension: Strong likelihood of extension

Rate: £30.00 per hour + £8 per hour travel allowance (TA is only paid for candidates who live 39 miles or more from site!)

What will you be doing?

As a Plating Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of the operation, leading teams and making sure the work gets done safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Leading and supporting plating teams on the shop floor

• Planning daily activities and allocating work and resources

• Keeping production moving and monitoring progress against targets

• Leading toolbox talks, safety briefings and promoting safe working

• Maintaining quality standards and dealing with defects or rework

• Reporting progress, risks and issues to management

• Supporting team performance, attendance, onboarding and development

• Creating a positive, respectful and productive working environment

What are we looking for?

You'll ideally have:

• An apprenticeship, advanced qualification or equivalent experience in fabrication or a related technical discipline

• Previous supervisory experience

• Strong experience as a Plater within heavy engineering or fabrication

• Excellent people-management and communication skills

• The confidence to lead, coordinate and motivate a team

Please note: All successful candidates will be required to complete BPSS security clearance as part of the onboarding process.
