Postdoctoral Researcher - Cancer Biology

About the Role

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a talented Postdoctoral Researcher to join their dynamic cancer biology research group in Southampton . Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments to investigate cellular signaling pathways and molecular mechanisms involved in cancer development and metastasis.
• Utilize a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including gene editing, cell culture, and protein analysis.
• Perform in vivo studies using mouse models to assess tumor growth and response to therapeutic interventions.
• Analyze and interpret experimental results, troubleshoot technical challenges, and propose future research directions.
• Contribute to the writing of scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications and present findings at conferences.
• Collaborate effectively with senior researchers and contribute to the overall research goals of the lab.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Cancer Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in fundamental cancer biology research with a strong publication record in reputable journals.
• Proficiency in key laboratory techniques such as cell culture, Western blotting, qPCR, and microscopy.
• Experience with mouse models and in vivo study design is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically evaluate experimental data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a research team.
