About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent Power Distribution Electrical Engineer to enhance their infrastructure team in Bradford . This role focuses on the design, implementation, and maintenance of reliable electrical power distribution networks. You will play a key role in ensuring the stable and efficient supply of power across various company facilities, involving network analysis, protection schemes, and substation design. Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer electrical power distribution systems, including substations, switchgear, and cable networks.
• Perform load flow studies, fault analysis, and protection coordination for power distribution systems.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and installation specifications.
• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of power distribution equipment.
• Ensure all designs comply with national and international electrical safety standards and codes.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and utility providers to manage power infrastructure projects effectively.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• 4-6 years of experience in the design and management of electrical power distribution systems.
• Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT).
• Solid understanding of electrical protection principles, switchgear technology, and substation design.
• Experience with grid connection requirements and utility liaison.
• Strong project coordination and communication skills.
