About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Power Systems Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and operation of robust electrical infrastructure. This hybrid role allows for a mix of remote analysis and on-site project involvement. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, reliability, and efficiency of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems. This position is ideal for an engineer passionate about power infrastructure and seeking a role with significant technical challenge and flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and model electrical power systems, including grid connections and protection schemes.
- Conduct load flow studies, fault calculations, and stability analyses for power networks.
- Develop specifications for power system equipment such as transformers, switchgear, and generators.
- Oversee the commissioning and testing of new power system installations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within existing power infrastructure.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on power system projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- 5+ years of experience in power systems engineering, including design and analysis.
- Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong understanding of grid codes , protection relays, and network stability.
- Experience with project management and technical report writing.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing remote tasks with site visits.
