About the Role
Our client is looking for an accomplished Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join their forward-thinking team in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is focused on the design, analysis, and implementation of complex power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks. You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of power infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical power systems, including substations, switchgear, and distribution networks.
- Perform power flow, short circuit, and stability analyses using specialized software.
- Specify protection relays and control systems to ensure grid stability and equipment safety.
- Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new power infrastructure projects.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from design to commissioning.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Significant experience in the design and analysis of electrical power systems.
- Proficiency with power system simulation software such as ETAP, PSS/E, or PowerFactory.
- Strong understanding of electrical protection principles and equipment.
- Knowledge of renewable energy integration and grid codes is advantageous.
