Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
- Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability studies to ensure system integrity and safety.
- Develop specifications for power system equipment, such as transformers, switchgear, and protection relays.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate renewable energy sources and manage grid connections.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to power system performance and reliability.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in power systems technology and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in power system analysis and design.
- Proficiency with power system simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, ETAP, DigSILENT PowerFactory).
- Strong knowledge of power system protection, control, and stability principles.
- Experience with grid codes and regulatory frameworks relevant to the UK energy market.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
