About the Role
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Power Systems Engineer to join their team in Plymouth, Devon, UK . Key Responsibilities
- Design and analyse electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
- Perform load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies using industry-standard software tools.
- Develop protection schemes and select appropriate protective relays and switchgear.
- Conduct site surveys and technical assessments for power system upgrades and new installations.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory bodies, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
- Experience in the analysis and design of electrical power systems.
- Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
- Understanding of power system protection principles and equipment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent report-writing abilities.
