Power Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse electrical power systems, including generation, transmission, and distribution networks.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, and stability studies using industry-standard software tools.
• Develop protection schemes and select appropriate protective relays and switchgear.
• Conduct site surveys and technical assessments for power system upgrades and new installations.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with clients, regulatory bodies, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Experience in the analysis and design of electrical power systems.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory).
• Understanding of power system protection principles and equipment.
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent report-writing abilities.
