About the Role

Our client seeks a strategic and experienced PR & Communications Manager to lead their communications function in Glasgow . This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of public relations and corporate communications, ensuring a cohesive and positive brand narrative. You will be responsible for developing impactful communication strategies, managing media relations, and driving corporate messaging across all platforms, playing a key role in shaping the company's public image and stakeholder engagement within Scotland and the wider UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement overarching PR and corporate communication strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage and nurture relationships with national, regional, and trade media contacts.
• Oversee the creation of all external communication materials, including press releases, speeches, and reports.
• Lead crisis communication planning and response, ensuring swift and effective management of sensitive issues.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent brand messaging and employee engagement.
• Measure and report on the effectiveness of PR and communication initiatives.

Requirements

• Significant experience (5+ years) in a PR and Communications leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies.
• Strong media relations skills and a robust network of contacts within the UK media.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Experience in crisis communications and reputation management.
• A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
