PR Officer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and organised PR Officer to support their communications team, working remotely. This role is key to managing day-to-day PR activities, assisting in the development and implementation of communication strategies, and ensuring consistent brand messaging. You will be responsible for media monitoring, drafting press materials, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor media coverage across print, online, and broadcast channels, compiling daily reports.
• Assist in the creation and distribution of press releases, media alerts, and feature pitches.
• Support the management of media relations, responding to routine inquiries and facilitating journalist requests.
• Help coordinate and execute PR events, press conferences, and media outreach activities.
• Maintain and update media contact databases and PR records.
• Contribute to the development of communication plans and campaign strategies.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a PR or communications role, internship experience considered.
• Strong understanding of media relations principles and practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in using media monitoring tools and standard office software.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a remote setting.
• A relevant degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Marketing.
