About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative Precision Agriculture Specialist to join their forward-thinking team in Reading . You will work with farmers to implement and manage precision agriculture systems, including GPS guidance, variable rate application, drone technology, and data analytics. Key Responsibilities

• Advise farmers on the selection, implementation, and operation of precision agriculture technologies.
• Manage and analyze data from various sources, including GPS, sensors, drones, and farm management software.
• Develop site-specific variable rate application maps for fertilizers, seeds, and crop protection products.
• Provide training and support to farmers and farm staff on the use of precision agriculture equipment and software.
• Conduct field trials and demonstrations to evaluate the effectiveness of new technologies and practices.
• Monitor crop performance and provide data-driven recommendations for optimized resource management.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in agricultural technology and data science.

Requirements

• Degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field with a focus on technology.
• Proven experience with precision agriculture systems, GPS technology, and farm management software.
• Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and visualization tools.
• Experience with drone operation and aerial imagery analysis is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client-facing skills to support operations in the Reading area.
