Premises Manager - Primary School - Southwark

Start Date: September 1st Hours: 6:00am-10:00am and 2:00pm-5:00pm Pay: £16-£20 per hour Contract: Long term

Sanza Teaching Agency are currently recruiting for an experienced Premises Manager to join a welcoming primary school in the Canada Water area of Southwark from September.

This is a long-term position for someone who has previous experience working as a school caretaker, premises manager or site manager and is confident taking responsibility for the day-to-day running and security of the school premises.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Opening and closing the school each day Ensuring the school site is safe, secure and well maintained Taking responsibility for whole-school health and safety compliance Carrying out regular site checks and reporting any issues Organising and overseeing general maintenance Completing basic DIY and handy work around the school Liaising with contractors and external services when required Ensuring the school buildings, grounds and facilities are kept to a high standard Responding to day-to-day premises issues and emergencies Being the main point of responsibility for the school siteAbout You

The school is looking for someone who:

Has previous experience as a school caretaker, premises manager or site manager Understands school-based health and safety requirements Is confident carrying out general maintenance and DIY tasks Is reliable, proactive and highly organised Can work independently and use their own initiative Is confident being the lone premises person on site Has excellent communication skills Takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-run school environmentThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced premises professional looking for a long-term role in a primary school in Southwark.
