About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and caring Preschool Assistant to support their team in Sheffield . You will assist the lead teacher in providing a safe, fun, and educational experience for preschool-aged children, helping them develop essential skills and confidence. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and engaging preschool-aged children during daily activities.
• Support the implementation of lesson plans and educational activities designed to promote learning.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
• Assist children with personal care routines, including handwashing and toileting.
• Foster positive social interactions and encourage cooperation among children.
• Communicate effectively with lead teachers and other staff members regarding children's progress and needs.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young children is beneficial.
• A genuine interest in childcare and early years education.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player.
• Willingness to undertake relevant training, such as Safeguarding and First Aid.
• Ability to follow instructions and contribute positively to the classroom atmosphere.
