Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Set and operate Amada Press Brake machines.
* Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
* Select and set the correct tooling for each job.
* Carry out bending and forming operations to required specifications and tolerances.
* Check completed components using appropriate measuring equipment.
* Make adjustments to machine settings where required to maintain quality.
* Ensure components meet drawing and customer requirements.
* Work efficiently to production schedules and priorities.
* Identify and report any quality or production issues.
* Carry out basic machine checks and maintain a clean and safe working area.
* Follow all company health & safety and security procedures.
* Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure production targets are achieved.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
* Previous experience operating and setting Press Brake machines.
* Experience using Amada Press Brakes.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
* Good understanding of measurements, tolerances and component specifications.
* Ability to work accurately and independently.
* Good attention to detail.
* Strong awareness of health & safety within a manufacturing environment.
* British citizenship, due to MOD contractual/security requirements associated with the role.
Desirable:
* Experience within a sheet metal or fabrication environment.
* Experience using measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometers and angle gauges.
* Experience working with a variety of materials and thicknesses.
Working Hours
37.5 hours per week
Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:30pm
