Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive primary school?

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher or ECT looking to develop their classroom practice within a supportive environment. The school is particularly keen to hear from ECTs and can offer valuable support towards your induction journey, with the possibility of securing a permanent teaching position in the future.

The Role

As a Primary Cover Supervisor, you will be supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 (Years 1 and 2), delivering pre-planned lessons and helping to maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.

You will work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure pupils remain focused, motivated and fully engaged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons to KS1 pupils.

• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

• Encourage pupil participation and engagement.

• Support children's learning and development.

• Liaise with teaching staff and school leaders where required.

• Ensure high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare are maintained at all times.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

• Be an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or recently qualified teacher.

• Have a passion for primary education and supporting young learners.

• Possess excellent communication and classroom management skills.

• Be confident working with pupils across Key Stage 1.

• Be reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic.

• Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

• Have the right to work in the UK.
